Harley-Davidson Other description

2008 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide, LOADED WITH EXTRA CHROME AND GOODIES....A SWEET RIDE - ONLY 105 YEARS OF HARLEY-DAVIDSON COULD TAKE IT THIS FAR. The top of the line, all wrapped up in stunning new Anniversary style. Like every Touring model, the Ultra Classic gets the most out of a new longer-ranging six-gallon tank, with added miles of comfort in the seat plus new Brembo brakes and our optional anti-lock (ABS) technology. Choose the Anniversary Ultra Classic and ABS comes standard. The Touring ride is smoother than ever for 2008, thanks to a new rear Isolated Drive System (IDS). It improves ride quality by reducing drive line noise. Ultra Classic riders get even more comfort with a full fairing and vented lowers, plus new fairing-mounted adjustable wind deflectors. There is a King Tour Pak and GTX-nylon saddlebags. Cruise control. Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio System and CB/Intercom. And making its own sweet music, a chromed six-speed Twin Cam 96 engine, proudly exposed for all the world to admire.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
