Harley-Davidson Other description

2008 Harley-Davidson FXDSE2 Screamin' Eagle Dyna, Screamin Eagle Dyna! - THE DYNA FAMILY HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT PERFORMANCE. This limited-edition machine has as much as you can pack onto two wheels. From the trick inverted front forks to the fat 170-millimeter rubber in back. Right in the middle is a massive, powerfully-built 110-cubic-inch V-Twin engine with a new Granite powder coat finish. Appropriate, considering its rock-steady performance and the rest of the bike is covered in enough chrome to warrant wearing sunglasses in the dead of night. It all comes together as a must-have, attention-owning motorcycle. Don’t expect it to loiter around your dealer’s showroom floor for long.

According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
