Harley-Davidson Other description

2008 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Softail Fat Boy, 2008 Harley Fat Boy low miles - 2008 Harley Fat Boy with 5200 miles. The bike is super clean and in mint condition. The bike has custom Harley Factory paint, lots of chrome, wind screen, and a sissy bar. For more info email M or call: 203-792-3900 and ask for sales. WE FATTENED IT UP QUITE A BIT LAST YEAR, AND IT CONTINUES TO ROLL AS THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP OF FUNKY CUSTOM. Its front fender shows off the broad 17-inch front wheel. Its custom skirted back fender sits above a 200-millimeter rear tire. The wheels are solid slabs of cast aluminum, ringed with 0.50-caliber, bullet-sized holes. Everything about this motorcycle commands space on the road. The seat is low and wide. The thick 96-cubic-inch helping of Harley-Davidson V-Twin engine is served up in chrome and black. There’s a shotgun exhaust. The Fat Boy is what it’s always been and more. One big-boned knockout.

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.

Who To Watch In The AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

The Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series is set to kick off this weekend at Daytona International Raceway, and the competition looks set to be as close as ever. In the contest’s three-year history, the combined margin of victory stands at just over two tenths of a second. And last year’s dogfight saw ninth position take the checkered flag less than eight tenths removed from the victory. Each previous contest has developed into a full-blown drafting war, with the class’ evenly matched machinery testing the tactical acumen of its pilots as they negotiate the high banks within inches of one another.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
