Blending a low seat height and mid-mount controls with the powerful torque of the rubber-mounted Evolution V-Twin engine, the XL Sportster 1200L adds another exciting option to the Sportster family. The XL Sportster 1200L has a seat height of 26.25 inches, which is 1.8 inches lower than the XL Sportster 1200R Roadster. In addition, the handlebar grips are moved back an inch further than any other Sportster model and a new two-up Badlander style seat provides a comfortable ride. The 4.5 gallon fuel tank allows the XL Sportster 1200L an extended driving range of more than 200 miles per tank. The first Dyna rolled out in 1991 in the form of the FXDB Sturgis, which I think is the one I rode to Sturgis. Ten years ago, Pete and Fonzie rode the FXDC Super Glide.
Harley-Davidson Opens First Showroom in Vietnam

Located in Phu My Hung in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, the new Harley-Davidson of Saigon opened its doors this past weekend with a full lineup of 27 models. Vietnam is one of the world’s largest markets with sales of 3.1 million two-wheelers in 2012, trailing only China, India and Indonesia.

That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory.
