Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Harley-Davidson opened a new regional headquarters in Miami, Fla., to house the company’s Latin America operations. The new Harley-Davidson Latin America headquarters supports the Motor Company’s subsidiaries in Brazil, Mexico and other countries in Central and South America. Harley-Davidson projects international sales to exceed 40% of the company’s revenue by 2014 with the Latin America office a prime area of growth.

Detroit Police Department Restores 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead

The Detroit Police Department revealed a restored a 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead police bike that was found during the move to its new headquarters. The 76-year-old police motorcycle was found disassembled at the old headquarters after several decades in storage. According to MLive, the police department attempted to restore the motorcycle in 1974 but never got around to completing it.
