Harley-Davidson Other description

2006 Harley-Davidson FLSTN/FLSTNI Softail Deluxe, Very nic Pre-owned Softail Deluxe with Perf exhaust, Hi-flow & Detach windshield! - In the saddle of a Harley-Davidson Softail, no road is ever lonely. Sunlight breaks through treetops to dance on chromed steel. The wind offers its constant stream of praise. And the world unfolds before you with open arms. Maybe it’s because nothing else on the road compares with the timeless hardtail styling ... and nothing else feels like a Twin Cam 88B power mill rigid-mounted to the frame. Counterbalancing takes care of all but the good vibrations. You and the motorcycle become one, united by an unbreakable bond. Then you feel the hidden rear suspension smooth out the ride with a full 4" of travel. There’s no denying you’re in the saddle of a rolling masterpiece. This year, the Softail family of custom motorcycles welcomes its latest member. We invite you to turn the page and take a gander at the clean lines of the new Heritage Softail. Additionally, all new bobtail models get a shot of adrenaline in the hindquarters — a brawny, road-hugging 200mm tire under a new wider fender. More rubber to stick to the pavement. More style to keep the eyes glued. When the Softail Deluxe hit the showrooms, riders big and small couldn’t wait to take this plush ride to the road. How could we blame them? Whitewall to whitewall, every detail is sheer beauty. Long-barreled shotgun pipes. Clean front light bars with bullet turn signals. Tombstone taillight. Low seat with grab rail — you’re just 24.5" off the ground. Pullback riser and handlebar ... Long floorboards. Integrated luggage rack. Tank and fender emblems. And a big retro-style speedometer like nothing else you’ve seen in decades. Power is big and modern. You get a wrinkle black and chrome Twin Cam 88B engine in carb or EFI. Once brought to life, no one can resist its lure. For a limited time, we are offering one-of-a kind, custom color combinations that are over and above the standard two-tone color options available during the model year. These limited color combinations come with a custom decal that is only available through the Custom Color program. Each color has unique complementing pinstripes.

A (Not So) Silent Night from Harley-Davidson – Video

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

It’s probably not conducive for sleeping in heavenly peace, but Harley-Davidson has released a Christmas-themed ad with the song “Silent Night” performed by the revving V-Twin engine of a Softail Breakout. Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
