2006 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide, THIS CLASSIC HAS EXHAUST, INTAKE AND A RIDERS BACKREST - As anyone who’s ridden one will tell you, a Harley-Davidson touring rig always makes the road good. On all radio-equipped models, riders will be greeted with a new Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon designed to Harley-Davidson specifications. New speakers, AM/FM/WB/CD/MP3 and up to 80 watts of power. It’s sound you’ve never before heard on a motorcycle. What’s more, it offers greater versatility than most car audio systems. Through Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories, you can add XM satellite radio, a 160-watt amplifier, and even a CB radio. All can be integrated right into the stereo. So what’s holding you back? The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. Fri, 19 Dec 2008Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.
Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
