2005 Harley-Davidson FLTRI Road Glide, Built to Cruise! - Calling the Road Glide model just another touring bike is like calling Mount Rushmore just another piece of rock. One look at the profile tells you this one’s different. Beginning up front with the frame-mounted shark-nose fairing with cockpit-style instrumentation, twin headlights and a swept-back windshield. The styling is aerodynamic—there’s nothing sleeker on the road. Moving back, there are broad-stripe graphics, a flowing seat, angled bags and slash-cut mufflers. It all gives new meaning to the word “streamlined.” You also get cruise control and 40-watts-per-channel, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD sound. 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Lineup Updated with Project Rushmore Enhancements
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson announced a number of updates to its touring models, a cumulative result of a product development effort the company dubs Project Rushmore. The enhancements cover several areas, addressing performance, comfort, style and infotainment needs, and will be implemented across eight 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring models: the Road King, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Limited, the Tri-Glide Ultra Classic trike and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited. “Project RUSHMORE has been touched by thousands of people, most of them being our customers and our employees,” says Scott Habegger, Harley-Davidson Director of Motorcycle Planning.
