The Electra Glide Classic was designed on the premise that the long haul shouldn’t have to feel like one. We started with pure Harley-Davidson styling, then added on all the necessities for putting on big miles. Like hard bags and a Tour-Pak luggage box, 40-watts-per-channel sound with standard CD, big floorboards and a comfort-stitch saddle with passenger backrest. We wanted every inch of the ride to be perfect. So we gave it an air-adjustable suspension, triple-disc brakes, and a fork-mounted batwing fairing complete with all the instruments. In fact, all that’s left is for you to fire up the powerful, reliable EFI or carbureted Twin Cam 88 engine and start taking full advantage of this ever-improving piece of real estate. Harley-Davidson Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson reported 15.9% increase in motorcycle revenue despite selling 9.1% fewer motorcycles over the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s first quarter 2013 report, Harley-Davidson recorded revenues of $1.15 billion from motorcycle sales, compared to $995.9 million in the same quarter of 2012. At the same time, Harley-Davidson sold 54,254 motorcycles worldwide over the first quarter, down from 59,677 motorcycles in the same period last year.

Mon, 16 Jan 2012A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
