So, it should come as no surprise the Low Rider model has been a favorite since day one and never looked back. Today’s version sports a pullback bar, mid-mount foot controls and a low-slung seat that’s just over 25 off the pavement. Experiencing long and low has never felt more right. You get highway pegs and a fat rear tire. This year, we couldn’t help but stretch the tank, giving the bike an even longer look. And we made EFI an option to the traditional carb Twin Cam 88 engine. Mon, 02 Feb 2009While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.
2015 Harley-Davidson CVO and Twin-Cooled Models Certified by CARB
Tue, 19 Aug 2014The California Air Resource Board has released new certification documents revealing most of Harley-Davidson‘s 2015 line-up. The CARB executive orders, required before a motorcycle is allowed to be sold in California, reveal new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide, two low versions of the Electra Glide and more models receiving Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooled engine. Introduced last year on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and Tri-Glide Ultra trike, the Twin-Cooled engine uses liquid-cooling for the cylinder heads, reducing emissions.
