2004 - Harley-davidson Electra Glide Convertable C on 2040-motos
Harley-Davidson Other description
This bike is in perfect condition, no damage any where. It has been kept in an air conditioned garage since its build time, almost all the chrome on the bike is custom, the gages are custom, wheels, brake calibers, brake, and clutch cables, air cleaner cover, foot boards, foot pegs, front, and back, head light, cruising lights, turn signal, and stop lights. There are to many to list. The tour pack is convertible with a lighted spoiler, the saddle bags also have lighted spoilers. The fairing, and the tour pack have a gold leaf painting of the flying wheel on them (real gold) There are two Sheriff badges on the back of the saddle bags, a US COAST GUARD badge on the bottom center of the gas tank, and two Secret Service Pins on the top left, and right side of the gas tank. There is so much to this bike I can not list it all. The bike had the engine reworked, by a top mechanic at the Harley dealership. When I took delivery I didn't take it home, it was all done before I took possession. It is the fastest big bike I have seem. On top of all the items I have listed, of which there are many more, there are four seat arrangements, two Corbin seats, a gun fighter single, a gun fighter double, done in black and gray snake skin. The other seat is the original touring seat with the touring pack, but I purchased a back rest so the touring seat could be used without the touring pack. If you do not want the service badges on the bike they can be removed easily, without any damage to the bike. This bike was custom painted with custom paint by Curt Bacon, at Fort Dodge Iowa. All the sheet metal, inter, and outer fairing, saddle bags, and tour pack were sent to Iowa painted and sent back, and am I glad I sent them. An item I failed to mention Is that the bike has custom LED lights on the dash, engine, foot pads, inside fenders, and under the saddle bags. The dash lights up blue, but the instruments light up red. This bike is truly one of a kind, there's not another one like it.

Happy Birthday Elvis!
Fri, 08 Jan 2010Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today. As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
Milwaukee’s The Iron Horse Hotel
Tue, 19 May 2009Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. On the other hand, accommodations on the higher end of the spectrum were pretentious and inconvenient for storing bikes and gear.
