Harley-Davidson Other description

2003 Harley-Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic, FLHRCI Road King Classic - 100th Anniversary FLHRCI Road King Classic This is the style that roamed the American highways of a half century ago. Wide whitewalls around laced wheels. Full fenders. Headlight as big as a melon. It roams still today, in the form of a Road King Classic. Complete with fender tip emblems, tooled leather seat and leather-wrapped hard saddlebags. But memory lane isnt where youll find it. The open road is its home, thanks to the touring credentials it carries. Fuel-injected Twin Cam 88 engine, detachable windshield, air-adjustable rear suspension, cruise control, roomy floorboards, refined chassis. And a comfortable seat that makes you feel like going another tank or two at the end of a days ride. Just in case you needed any more incentive. * MSRP may not reflect vehicle shown. See Additional Features for specific color/option pricing.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

Defining the sport-touring cruiser Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield Perhaps what I love the most about the English language is its flexibility, how you can bump disparate words together and create something with an entirely new meaning. When it comes to motorcycles, the words sport and touring bring to mind two very different kinds of motorcycles. Sporting motorcycles place an emphasis on handling, acceleration, and braking, while touring bikes tend to focus on cargo capacity, rider comfort, and long-range capability.

I remember my first bicycle. A blue frame with white handlebars and a long white banana seat for comfort. I was riding a Smurf.
