Carrying on a tradition started in 1957, the Sportster family continues its evolution, providing quick, responsive handling, a flat torque curve and raw, racy style. This year, all Sportster models receive the popular bullet-style turn signals first introduced in 2000 on the FXSTD. In addition, a more rigid exhaust flange connects the exhaust system to the cylinder heads, providing improved styling and a more durable exhaust system. Finally, a new fuel shut off valve provides a more tactile feel between the on and off setting, and enhanced styling. Harley-Davidson and Marvel Comics Team Up Again for Iron Man 3
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson and Marvel Comics are teaming up once more for another cross-promotional promotion, this time in support of the upcoming film “Iron Man 3“. Harley-Davidson had previously worked with Marvel for last year’s “The Avengers” and before that, with 2011′s “Captain America: The First Avenger“. For the third installment of the Iron Man series starring Robert Downey Jr., Harley-Davidson and Marvel announced the “Iron Man 3 – Man & Machine” contest.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q4 2011 Results
Tue, 24 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson reported a 10.9% growth in motorcycle sales in the fourth quarter and a total annual growth of 5.9% for 2011. The growth resulted in a net profit of $599.1 million for Harley-Davidson. The Motor Company sold 235,188 motorcycles in 2011, up from 222,110 units sold in 2010.
Eric Bostrom to Race TTXGP for Brammo at Laguna Seca
Thu, 26 Jul 2012Eric Bostrom has signed on to ride the Brammo Empulse RR in the electric motorcycle race at Laguna Seca July 28-29. The race is the final stop on the TTXGP‘s North American series and a joint event with the FIM’s ePower series. The AMA racing veteran will join Steve Atlas to represent Team Icon Brammo at Laguna Seca.
