Harley-Davidson Other description

2001 Harley-Davidson FLSTC/FLSTCI Heritage Softail Classic, **Super Clean 2001 Harley FLSTC Softail Heritage With A Stage 1 Kit & More!!** - The Heritage Softail Classic is the motorcycle that, maybe more than any other machine past or present, embodies the American love affair with the open road. It has all the style of the original dressers that roamed the nation’s early highways. The beefy fork tubes and massive chrome headlight with passing lamps look just like they did on a ’49 Hydra Glide. The studded seat and saddlebags are vintage Harley. Carrying it all down the road are the hidden Softail suspension and Twin Cam 88B engine. Modern function that makes the lure of the open road more powerful than ever.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India

Fri, 18 May 2012

India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.

Harley-Davidson is acting quickly to address  potential safety issues by voluntarily recalling certain 2014 Touring motorcycles equipped with a hydraulic clutch system that may pose a safety issue for riders and/or passengers. The recalls include a Do Not Ride notice to owners and a Do Not Deliver notice to Harley-Davidson dealers until the motorcycle is fixed. “The safety of our customers is our highest priority,” said Tony Wilcox, Harley-Davidson General Manager of Motorcycle New Product Delivery.
