Harley-Davidson Other description

2001 Harley-Davidson FLHR/FLHRI Road King, PREOWNED/USED. GREAT PRICE ON A NICE ROAD KING. CALL JERRY CRAWFORD @ 208-338-5599 FOR DETAILS. - PREOWNED/USED Ask most people to conjure up the best image of motorcycling from their youth, and this is it. The big, strong lines. The broad windshield. The massive chrome headlamp and nacelle. The Road King brings it all back. But we’re not in business to merely wax nostalgic. Under all the brilliant chrome and lustrous paint lies our latest touring performance. At the center is eighty-eight cubic inches of Twin Cam 88, isolation mounted in our touring frame. The combination is ready for any kind of road trip you have in mind. And at day’s end, the windshield and passenger pillion detach. You can have a custom look that beats anything on the strip, minutes after blowing into town. Call and ask for JERRY CRAWFORD @ 208-338-5599 x.121 to secure this bike now! Schedule a test ride! Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
