Harley-Davidson Other description

2000 Harley-Davidson FXST Softail Standard, LOADED! Screamin Eagle kit, lots of chrome!! MUST SEE! - The Softail Standard is new this year, and it’s everything one of our show-stopping factory customs should be. Only with the styling kept simple. At its heart is the new Twin Cam 88B engine, silver powder coated and filled with both visual and chest-thumping power. Underneath is the Softail suspension, giving you the clean lines of an old hardtail with 4 of bump-absorbing travel. We add classic laced wheels, a new custom seat and wide handlebar. For some, it’s just enough the way it is. Others will find it the perfect starting point for their own custom dreams. It’s a bike that can be given a stunning look all your own. All at once, or one piece of chrome at a time.

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Led Inauguration Parade

Mon, 02 Feb 2009

While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.
