1984 Harley-Davidson FXRDG. This is a very rare bike. There was only 1 made for each dealer in 1984. Approx. 700 to 800. Exact number is hard to verify. This is a 1984 and 1/2. First EVO, last chain drive, first laser painted tank, first stock solid aluminum rear wheel, first rubber mounted engine, first attempt at a Dyna Glide. I have heard it called a Disc Glide also and haven't been able to verify. I am the original owner and bought this bike in Texas in 1984. I have all the original paperwork. I have found the value of this bike to increase each year. Hard to put an exact value on it but if you are a collector I think it would be a great addition. My wife and I ride very little anymore and fixing to hit the road in an RV. Would be willing to look at reasonable offers. In 2009 I had the frame powder coated and cleaned and polished each part of bike. I have the original signal lights, foot pegs and other items. The bike is 95% original. Mon, 26 May 2014Bryan Smith edged out Kenny Coolbeth Jr. by a mere 0.041 seconds to win the AMA Pro Flat Track Experts Twins race at the Springfield Mile. The ten laps of the race saw Smith and his Kawasaki battling for the lead with Coolbeth and Jake Johnson and Jared Mees sitting close behind waiting for an opening.
New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin
Thu, 03 Jan 2013When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.
