Harley-Davidson Other description

This bike is 1 of the rarest you will find. There were only one made for each Harley dealer in 1984. It is estimated around 886. Found out from feedback that the last 500 Shovel Heads and the 1st 500 EVO's were stamped with stars on the motor casing. This bike has the stars. It is referred to as a 1984&1/2. It was made mid year so it has the 1st rubber mounted EVO motor, last rear chain drive, 1st ever laser painted tank, 1st ever stock solid rear aluminum wheel, custom made leather seat with inlay just for this bike. It is said to be a Disc Glide but it also could be the 1st Dyna Glide because of it's rubber mounting. Details on this bike is very hard to find and this 1 may be 1 of the few left and is in outstanding condition. I have heard from someone in Australia that just 1 was imported and he is about to own it. If you are a collector you should at least take a look. I have watched the value increase yearly and I have priced it with the details that I can find. Of course the price is negotiable. I am the original owner, have all of the original paperwork. I purchased it in Texas from a dealer there. Selling now because the wife and I are going to hit the road in an RV. The bike is 95% original. I have most of the original parts like signal lamps, foot pegs and rear brake and clutch linkages. I had to move it to the front because of knee replacement. Had the frame powder coated in 2009 and polished and cleaned every part before reinstalling. Looks great and runs even better! If you would like more info please call me. Bill

The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.

Barbie and Ken get biker makeover

Mon, 15 Feb 2010

IF YOU'VE a young daughter and you want to keep her away from motorcycles when she's older (or more likely the men that ride them) then look away now.Yes folks, Barbie and Ken are getting serious makeover to keep them up-to-date for 2010 - the new Harley-Davidson endorsed couple now come complete with biker gear, tattoos and even piercings (a Prince Albert, perhaps?). It makes you wonder what Mattel, the company behind the plastic duo, has next in the pipeline. Maybe they'll have a model of Birmingham airport, where Ken can kick the sh*t out of rival bike gang members?

Church of MO: 1997 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic

Sun, 17 Apr 2022

How many 25-year old motorcycles are still being sold anyway? The Honda XR650L springs to mind, but other than it, it’s too early on Easter Sunday to investigate further. Granted, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic has undergone enough changes as to really not be the same machine anymore, yet that indelible American profile, architecture, and riding experience remain the same.
