Harley-Davidson Other description
Hi all.
I am selling my 1983 Harley Davidson FXWG. I will let the pics and description speak for themselves. This is a very nice shovel.

New tappet blocks, pushrods and tappets.
New SS oil pump.
2" drags with Khrome Werks bafflles
Tranny
Andrews gears. New seals. New sprocket. 0 issues and shifts like new
Primary
1.5 belt with adjuster. I have stock chain set up that will go with it.
Electrics
22a new stator, regulator and bell
ALL wiring new with soldered (read soldered not crimped) and heat shrunk
New headlight. Stock front turn signals. Rears were on to pass DMV. never removed them.
Kick only so not starter.
New Dyna S Dual fire iggy and coil. New plugs and wires
Etc
New seat. New tires front and rear. New chain. New front wheel and spokes. New paint all around. New bearings all around.
Carb
Super B. Rebuilt with adjustable enrichner
People will say there is too much list. Often times it is a bit of an exaggeration.
I built this bike up from the frame. Engine work done by Kentucky Kustoms in Louisville, KY. It is a very nice shovel and there is no way to list everything.
This bike will fire on the 3rf kick after 2 primes most every time when cold. Anyone who says "every time" is full of crap. After that (it's warm) you just got to know what it needs.
I will not give this bike away. If you are looking for a project...this isn't it. I have completed it for you so please be respectful of that and if you have not owned a shovel, don't send me low ball offers thinking I don't know what it is worth.
I have a clear title in hand with numbers/model matching.
Please email me with questions and a number. I would rather speak to you.
Thanks all.
Jason

Harley-Davidson World Ride Tops 10 Million Miles; Eclipses 2012 Total by 28 Percent
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Motorcycle riders from around the world enthusiastically joined members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) on June 23 and 24 to shatter last year’s record mileage total for the Harley-Davidson World Ride by collectively logging more than 10 million miles, a 28 percent increase over the 2012 total. Launched in 2008 as HOG’s Million Mile Monday, the annual event was expanded into the two-day Harley-Davidson World Ride in 2012 to give more riders worldwide an opportunity to participate. In 2012, participants logged 7,799,140 miles, but this year as riders celebrated the 110th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the 30th Anniversary of HOG that culminates this Labor Day weekend in Milwaukee, they blitzed that record by more than 25 percent, tallying an official total of 10,018,231 miles.
Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises
Fri, 16 Aug 2013The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.
