Harley-Davidson Other description

I am pushing the years and have quite a few motorcycles. They are not getting ridden enough so I am putting my newest bike and ironically my most reliable up for auction.

I bought this bike about 3 years ago from the original owners son. It belonged to a Cadillac dealer in Pennsylvania who obviously didn't ride it much. He kicked the bucket and the son who couldn't ride a bicycle put it up for sale. I am not an expert on Harley Davidson paint so I can only tell you that the kid said he remembered the bike always being white. I can find no hint of any other color anywhere on the bike for whatever that is worth. I bought the bike because of its condition and its appearance.

The kid said it had sat for a long time and he couldn't get it started so they brought it to a dealer out there. It looks like they pulled the top end and put new gaskets so odds are they put new valve springs in too. They also put a new CV carb on it rather than trying to clean the gummed up Bendix and make it work.  I  have the original Bendix carb and it goes with the bike. I cleaned it up but didn't put it back on as the bike runs so well with the CV.

This bike has all its original parts and original chrome. It has original saddlebags, seat, light lenses, windshield etc. It does however have newer Dunlop 402 tires on it.

The only things I have done to the bike while it was in my possession are:

New points and condenser
Regular Fluid Changes
New Wet/Dry clutch discs as I disconnected the lousy primary oiling system and simply run it wet.
Battery is about a year old now
I also installed a 49 tooth rear sprocket to make it cruise better than with the original 51 which goes with it.

Make of it what you will, but I can tell you this, when you ride Whitey you know you're riding 42 year old Shovelhead that has under 5000 miles on it. This bike needs nothing but to be ridden.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will respond as soon as possible. For serious inquiries you can message me for a phone number.

Payment
A $500 Non-Refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction via paypal. The remainder of the amount must be paid by cash or a cashiers check which must clear before the bike leaves my hands.

Shipping
I can deliver the bike within a 150 mile radius for a reasonable charge. Otherwise you must pick up the motorcycle or arrange shipping for it.

ACCEL Stealth Supercoils Now Available For Harley-Davidson Sportsters

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

ACCEL today announced the company’s popular motorcycle Stealth SuperCoils will now be available to owners of 2007-2014 Harley-Davidson Sportsters.  First introduced in late-2013 for Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines, ACCEL’s Stealth SuperCoils provide quicker engine starting and improved throttle response, while hiding all ignition wiring in the head of the self-contained coil pack; eliminating the need for spark plug wires and creating a clean, custom look. In addition to the flat black and natural aluminum finishes, the Sportster Stealth SuperCoils are offered in flat black with polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads.
