Harley-Davidson Other description

I can no longer ride due to an existing spinal condition. I've sold all my other bikes and this is the last one to go. It's been sitting for the last 5 years and now it's time to let it go.

Bike was bought as a basket case. Motor & trans. were professionally rebuilt. $6,000 in engine  - trans alone (see details in pictures). Front end is from a 2001 Soft tail. Frame has been powder coated black. All other parts are new. Chrome handlebars & controls, risers, wheels, forward controls, etc. Fuel tanks are original with original flame design. New Lepera seat. New tires. Needs wiring harness. Bike is 80% finished. I have new, unpainted front & rear fenders which are not shown in the pictures. I also have a box full of misc. parts such as screws, nuts & bolts, assorted brackets & other odds & ends. Over all, I have about $11,500 in this bike and it won't take much more to get it ready for the road.

Can not ship.  Buyer is responsible for picking bike up. Located in Southern York County, Pa.

Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
