Harley-Davidson Other description

Hi, you are bidding on Harley Davidson bobber put together with a stock 1200cc Shovelhead motor and trans that had very low miles and been gone through by a local bike shop. It's in a wishbone frame, which I was told was an original H/D.The front end is a Pauchgo springer with a Dunlop 19" tire and the rear is a Shinko 16", many new parts some stock H/D.Bike was in storage for 5 years after being built and used a few times. We put a new battery in it and fluids and it started right up, I need to mention the bike has a Harley vin# on the motor which matches the registration,in the year the frame was made there were no frame vin#s. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is for sale locally.    Thanks and good luck!

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.
