Harley-Davidson Other description

Selling my 1956 Panhead 60s style chopper. Motor, frame, and trans are 1956.  The vin on the motor is unaltered. The belly numbers match. The title is clean and clear, it is in my name and it matches the vin on the motor. This bike was completed 2 years ago. It was a ground up build using mostly original parts that were in great shape and the most of the vintage aftermarket parts were nos or in great shape. No corners were cut in this build and all fabrication is top notch. I built this bike with the intensions of keeping for the rest of my life but I now have the itch to build a Panster so in order to fund that build this needs to go. I have posted a few videos on YouTube of me kick starting this bike dead cold and details about the bike. Just search "56 pan details" to find them. This bike has roughly 3k miles on it since the build and has performed flawlessly. It's extremely relaible. Starts easily first or second kick and has never left me stranded. I just rode this bike to TROG last weekend. 100 miles there and 100 miles back.

The front left motor mount has been repaired but was done very well and is hard to even see it. One fin is chipped on 1 of the heads. The heads are also 1956 and have been completely rebuilt. Has steel guides and seats for today's fuels. The cases were split and all motor work was done by Simons Performance in PA. The oem distributor was also sent out and rebuilt. Cycle Electric generator and regulator. Rebuilt m74b carb with strainer and CCE deflector. All hardware is chrome colony. Valve covers are polished aluminum CCE .

Frame is oem. Only things missing is the toolbox mount and the rear tank mounts.  The frame was sand blasted and then given to Mike at 47 Industries. He put it on his frame jig and straightened the left rear leg. He also checked all of the welds and found some that needed repair on the seat post and trans mount. He addressed anything that needed it. Frame was powder coated by DGM in PA.

The trans was completely rebuilt. No repairs on the case or the jockey top lid. The pig snout had a crack around the kicker bushing and was repaired and new bushing was installed. The kicker arm is original and powder coated black as well as the clutch arm. The old brass Skelton pedal was chromed. Old bakelite  shift knob with old German coin inlay.  Has a new BDL primary setup. The primary tins are original and have been painted by Blue Moon Customs.

The tins were nos wassells. The tank was sealed and painted by Blue Moon Customs.  Paint is black with a little bit of silver leave and silver flake.

The VL springer was professionally straightened and a 1 in stem was installed. Has original springs. Inner and outer. Also has the original shim spring that is inside the inner springs. Original top clamp. Has a modified set of flanders dog bon risers. Bars are narrowed flanders. The brake lever is an original vl. The hub and drum are also original vl as well as the brake shackle. The bushings in the rockers and the brake shackle were replaced. The brake shoes are original and the liners are nos. Arced to the drum. The front rim is a 21 in Dunlop wm1 laced with polished stainless spokes.  The tire is an old Goodyear Sport Rib that's in great shape. The cable clamps are also original from a vl frontend. Everything was chromed by DGM in PA.

The rear wheel has a oem rebuilt star hub laced to an 18 in Jones wm3 using polished stainless spokes.  The rear tire is a Goodyear ANS. The rear drum and backing plate are oem. The rear shoes are oem with a new set of liners. Rear liners were arced to the rear drum.

Real Bates seat and P Pad with stickers. Seats are in great shape.

Bates headlight was nos

Real Mastercraft taillight with Swazi lens.

The oil bag is aftermarket.

Some of the rear brake parts are aftermarket.

All handmade parts on bike were chromed by DGM.

This bike in in extremely nice shape but it isn't perfect.  It's not a show bike. I built it to be ridden. And I rode this bike so there'might be some light scratches in chrome. Maybe some light scuffs in the paint.  It's in very nice condition but has normal wear on it.

Refer to the photos and videos and feel free to ask questions.
