Harley-Davidson Street 750 Goes Flat Tracking At X Games

Harley-Davidson’s new Street 750 is set to make its flat track debut this weekend at X Games Austin. Reigning AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National champion Brad “the Bullet” Baker will lead the exhibition race. Highlights of the race will air on ESPN during the X Games competition coverage. Backflips on a Harley? [video]

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.

Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network

Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.
