Harley-Davidson Other description

This is a motor only for sale. It is a 1953 Panhead bottom end with a Shovelhead top end. This is a good running motor that was removed for a complete bike. The only damage on the cases is a corner of one of the case bolt holes. It doesn't affect the running of the motor at all and would be an easy fix. It does not leak. I included a picture of the damage. The motor comes with correct paperwork. Shipping will be up to the buyer. I can build a crate for an additional $100. Local pickup or I will transport to a local truck line that you set up. I have included a picture of the complete bike the motor came from.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

ACCEL Stealth Supercoils Now Available For Harley-Davidson Sportsters

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

ACCEL today announced the company’s popular motorcycle Stealth SuperCoils will now be available to owners of 2007-2014 Harley-Davidson Sportsters.  First introduced in late-2013 for Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines, ACCEL’s Stealth SuperCoils provide quicker engine starting and improved throttle response, while hiding all ignition wiring in the head of the self-contained coil pack; eliminating the need for spark plug wires and creating a clean, custom look. In addition to the flat black and natural aluminum finishes, the Sportster Stealth SuperCoils are offered in flat black with polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads.
