Up for sale is my 1942 H-D U, 74ci big flatty. The motor is all rebuilt with all H-D internals, matching belly numbers, correct linkert M51. Runs like a top. Servi car timer ( auto advance) Cycle electric generator/Regulator 12V. Four speed early trans with tank shift top, all rebuilt. 56-57 Harley frame. BDL Belt drive under the tin primary. Disk brakes front and rear. Hidden wiring and internal throttle control. Avon venom tires front and rear. Custom upswept fishtail exhaust. The list goes on and on, its a one off bike, It was built with care and the best components. I have all the receipts, that total way more than the asking price, I can answer all your questions about the build. $500 cash deposit to my paypal acct upon buying bike, the remainder to be paid upon pick up. Granted, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic has undergone enough changes as to really not be the same machine anymore, yet that indelible American profile, architecture, and riding experience remain the same.
Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
