Harley-Davidson Dyna description

This Dyna is in decent overall condition with a few little cosmetic blemishes here and there. Some small scratches on the heat shields, some small scrapes on the underside of the pegs, 1 small scrape on the outside edge of the rear brake pedal and a few other little marks here and there as would be found in a bike of this age and miles. Paint is Denim Black and I would consider it average condition for age/miles. The bike runs strong with no known issues. Fuel injected 96ci big twin with 6 gear transmission. No leaks, no smoke, no funny noises. Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes sound great with a deep, low growl Harleys are famous for. Low profile H-D 2-up seat, and genuine H-D Jack Daniels air cleaner cover and primary cover add to the cool factor on this bike. Bike has current state inspection and registration and has been my daily driver. At some point in its history, it was deemed a total loss and carries a "rebuilt" designation on its title. I've never seen any signs this bike has been wrecked (other than the very slight scratches mentioned above), so it may have been a theft recovery at some point. In any event, it's in pretty nice shape now and a joy to ride. About the only thing it will need in the not-too-distant future is a set of tires. I just had it inspected last Saturday, and it passed, but the tires don't have a whole lot of life left.

Backflips on a Harley? [video]

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.

More Evidence of a Harley-Davidson Pan America 975 Emerges

Mon, 17 Oct 2022

Earlier this year, we wrote about how signs of a Pan America 975 were mistakenly mentioned in an official Harley-Davidson web page for an accessory locking fuel cap. Up until shortly after our article went live, the page listed the fuel cap as being compatible with the RA1250 (Pan America 1250) and RA1250S (Pan America 1250 Special) as well as two unannounced models: the RA975 and RA965S, which we assumed to be Pan America models powered by the 975cc version of the Revolution Max engine, like the one equipped on the Nightster. Motorcycle.com has now obtained further evidence of the existence of middleweight versions of Harley-Davidson’s adventure-tourer, once again from Harley itself, as well as the U.S.

Motorcycle Buying Tips For Women

Fri, 17 May 2013

Over the past few years, especially since the height of the economic crisis, more and more women have turned to motorcycling both as a way to save on fuel costs, but also to experience the joys of the open road. In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The first bit of advice is to “Sit on a lot of different bikes first,” says Angela Annamalai of Shelby’s Powersports in Bronx, New York.
