2015 Harley-Davidson® Dyna® Low Rider®

The Low Rider® model is back with some authentic '70s style made badder and bolder for the modern day.

Key Features may include:
  • Chunky Mag Wheels
  • The all-new Low Rider® motorcycle rolls straight out of hot rod street culture on chunky mag wheels. The look is true, pure American muscle. There’s no substitute for it anywhere in the world.

  • Wrinkle Black and Chrome Twin Cam 103™ Engine
  • At the center of the Low Rider® model you’ll notice a Twin Cam 103™ engine that gets the full-on wrinkle black and chrome treatment. And at the center of that, you’ll notice a pork chop style air cleaner. True to form, the engine is the jewel of the motorcycle. Instantly recognizable as a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle on any street in the world. But if there were any confusion, the sound that it puts out would clear things up in a hurry.

  • Pure Harley-Davidson Styling
  • Feast your eyes on the Twin Cam 103™ engine and there's no mistaking its roots. This is authentic Harley-Davidson style through and through with an attention to detail you won't find from any other motorcycle company. Black powder-coated heads and cylinders are highlighted by machined cooling fin tips and chrome rocker covers. It's a jewel machined out of metal. Pure. Dripping with power. From the classic edge of the cooling fins to the clean lines of cases and covers—the Twin Cam 103™ engine makes an ironclad statement about holding on to what's right and staying true to what satisfies.

  • Six-Speed Cruise Drive® Transmission
  • You want a ride that rumbles—not begs for mercy—when you lean on it a little. The Six-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so you get a better match between engine turnover and road speed. It's a rare ride when a bike responds like this, and a low growl goes a long way when you're opening up the road ahead.

  • Twin Cam 103™ Engine Heritage
  • The knowledge of what makes an engine truly move a rider runs deep at The Motor Company, and it was put to good use when we created the Twin Cam 103™ engine. We sweated bullets perfecting every cubic inch, pushing design and technology forward. And we did it all without compromising one bit of Harley-Davidson's unique styling. Evolved, yet carrying on the legacy of the Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Evolution® and Twin Cam 88® and Twin Cam 96® engines that came before. The performance and durability are a direct result of the untold miles logged on the V-Twin since 1909 and the proud heritage that comes from a century's worth of commitment to life on two wheels.

  • Relocated Mid-Mount Controls
  • The Low Rider® model gives you the confidence-inspiring riding position that comes from mid-mount foot controls. Your feet are right where you want them to be, with an easy reach to the ground when it’s time to stop. Your knees ride naturally next to the tank for a good center of gravity and balance in the corners. And the controls have been positioned to give you easy access to the jiffy stand so there’s no fishing around with your foot when it’s time to dismount.

  • Perfect Fit Ergonomics
  • Whether you’re 5’1” or 6’1”, thanks to perfect fit ergonomics, you can dial the new Low Rider® motorcycle in to fit you like a motorcycle glove. We developed perfect fit through an innovative look at how riders fit on a motorcycle using both simulation and actual rider studies. The result is a unique handlebar riser that provides 2.4” of movement fore and aft.

Harley Skateboard Trick – Awesome Motorcycle Jump

    Tue, 28 Apr 2009

Everything needs to be jumped over with a skateboard at some point in human history.  People, benches, cars, cats, senior citizens, conclusions, ships, …. I’m getting a little metaphorical here…  Why not motorcycles?  Let’s jump some motorcycles on a skateboard and let’s make them Harley-Davidson motorcycles to boot. Harley is on fire with releasing “viral video” to promote their Dark Custom line and have now released this interesting video of a “modded” skateboard with fireworks strapped to it flying over some bikes.  Personally, I think it  looks like the guy is hanging from a wire when he crosses over those bikes.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

    Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
