Harley-Davidson Dyna description

Up for auction is a 2011 Harley Davidson FXDF Fat Bob cruiser motorcycle. We are a multi-line motorcycle dealership, selling new Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and BMW motorcycles in addition to a few other brands. This Harley Davidson was acquired recently from a client of our store.  Our service department has gone through this motorcycle, performing an overall safety & operations check, and have found everything to be in good working condition.  This 1 owner Fat Bob is all OEM, with the exception of the sweet sounding Vance & Hines Exhaust Pipes, handlebar bag, and passenger backrest.

This Harley Davidson FXDF has just over 3,530 miles and we hold a clean Rhode Island Title for this bike.  This Harley Davidson 2-cyclinder V-Twin engine starts easy, runs strong, transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly, so this motorcycle should bring the next owner many thousands of worry free miles.  Please feel free to call 617-275-3784, with any questions or concerns during normal business hours.  This motorcycle is available for sale on our showroom floor, so we reserve the right to end the auction early if the bike sells in store.  Trades are accepted & financing is available for local buyers only, but please inquire before bidding.

Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. On the other hand, accommodations on the higher end of the spectrum were pretentious and inconvenient for storing bikes and gear.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Bonhams To Sell Garelli Grand Prix Collection At No Reserve

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Mark your calendars for February 5 and 6, 2013, as those are the dates when Bonhams — one of the world’s largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques — will put for sale two motorcycle collections which include some incredibly rare and historic machines. The Grand Palais in Paris, France will play host to the auction, which includes the entire Garelli Grand Prix collection as its headliner. Founded in 1919, many famous Italian racers got their starts on Garelli motorcycles.
