Bike is in near mint condition. There is one small nick on seat (pictured) and a hairline scratch that doesn't show in photo.Bike features quick release saddlebags and windshield. Also has tank bag and tool bag.Battery is less than one year old and front and rear tires were replaced 2-3 years ago and have low mileage.All regular maintenance performed at Harley dealer. Bike has been garage stored.

Also included: Original seat in excellent condition, trickle charger and cables, cover (not in great condition, but usable)
$500 deposit on day of purchase, balance due upon pickup.

New Screamin’ Eagle Drag Racing Championship Series for 2013

The NHRA today announced the formation of the Screamin’ Eagle Championship Motorcycle Series for 2013. The new series will feature five classes: Top Fuel, Pro Gas, Draggin’ Bagger, Street Pro and Hot Street. The 10-race series will compete at divisional events as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, in addition to the Sportsman ET Motorcycle class that currently competes at various NHRA divisional events.

For some time now, Harley-Davidson has been trying to fight the stereotyped image of its customer base as being predominantly older, Caucasian males. Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $190.6 million over the second quarter of 2011, thanks to the first year-on-year quarterly improvement in the U.S. market in nearly five years. For the three months ended June 26, 2011, Harley-Davidson’s operating income totaled $301.9 million, a 38.0% increase from the $218.8 million reported in the same period of 2010.
