Harley-Davidson VRSC description

2008 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special, H-D VRSCDX Trike - IT CAME FROM THE DARK SIDE OF WHEREVER YOUR MOTHER TOLD YOU NOT TO GO. Race-inspired detailing meets shades of black metal that would make night herself jealous. Orange pinstripes around the slotted disc wheels 240-millimeters worth of rubber in the rear. Mesh screen covers foreshadow the kind of performance that keeps the faint of heart behind locked doors. The liquid-cooled Revolution engine gets an upgrade to 1,250-cubic-centimeters for 2008. Thats 125 horses beneath your seat, harnessed via a new slipper clutch. Also new this year on all VRSC models: optional ABS brakes to supplement the standard Brembo brake setup. Youve got a five-gallon fuel tank and a perimeter frame like nothing else on two wheels. The only thing outpacing the RPM’s is your heartbeat.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
