Harley-Davidson Touring description

Check out this 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Classic FLHRCI. Original stock engine was upgraded with the 103 cubic inch Screaming Eagle kit (1690 CCs). Stock five gear transmission has been replaced with a Screaming Eagle six gear transmission. Both of these were performed at the same time as the 10K mile servicing. The bike has Vance & Hines pipes, chromed forks, Amfm radio w/auxiliary input for MP3 player, and blue neon lamps. It has always been garage kept and only has 37,076 mis. Also has an adjustable seat back for driver. Bike is in superb condition and loaded with many chrome upgrades! I bought this bike in 2007 from the dealership in Charleston, SC and I am the 2nd owner. Included is a bike cover, original parts that I replaced with Willie G Skull parts as well as an additional set of Willie G mirrors. Tires were replaced in January of 2012 and have about 1,500 mis on them. This bike is awesome, but I do not ride it as often as I pre-owned to and it was made for the road! I also have the service records for the life of the bike.

Backflips on a Harley? [video]

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
