The "Special" takes it to the next level with abs brakes, touch screen infotainment center with navigation, factory security, and pinstripping all standard. The bike has been tuned with a Harley race tuner. The Streetglide has near perfect cosmetics other that a small bug mark on the fuse cover. The paint is Grey Pearl and it really jumps in the sunlight. There are no dings, dents, tears, or scratches. This bike runs and drives as good as it looks and will thrill the most descrimminating buyer. The rubber mounted 103" motor has plenty of power and the six speed tranny is silkey smooth. Backflips on a Harley? [video]

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2011 Results

As expected, Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $183.6 million over the third quarter ended Sept. 25, 2011, a 106% increase from the $88.8 million reported in the same quarter of 2010. Harley-Davidson reported sales revenue of $1.23 billion, a 13.4% increase from the $1.09 billion reported in the same quarter of 2010.
