Harley-Davidson’s classic cruiser, The Harley-Davidson V-Rod Night Rod Special has a special look and is aggressively styled from the front end to the back with the engine, wheels, forks, triple clamps and swing-arm painted in a tasty black paint with Orange stripes. Other notable styling details include the double-barrel exhaust pipes, fat rear tire, low-Rise handlebar and the special radiator... The motorcycle is built on a very beautiful frame that was forged using an innovative process named hydro-forming. Thanks to this new process the company’s engineers were able to form unconventional angles and apply fewer welds by bending and shaping metal pipes with high-pressure water. Harley-Davidson understands this, and in cooperation with Army Special Forces Association Chapter 64, Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines are joining Summit Racing Equipment and Armed Forces Entertainment November 18-22 for Operation Appreciation, an annual visit to American troops stationed overseas. After three years of visiting American military personnel based in Europe, Operation Appreciation will travel to the Middle East to visit troops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Mon, 02 Feb 2009While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.
