Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results

Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

2014 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob Receives Dark Custom Makeover

The Harley-Davidson Fat Bob is returning for 2014 with a new blacked-out look as the latest model to get H-D’s Dark Custom look. The new, darker Fat Bob features a number of blacked-out components including the powertrain and air cleaner cover, rear shock covers, triple clamps, headlight trim, console and battery box cover. The machined aluminum slotted disc wheels have also been received a black powdercoated finish as well as a laser-ingraved Harley-Davidson logo and rim stripe.
