Harley-Davidson Touring description

Where to begin !!!  Let me start off by saying you have NEVER seen a bike put together like this, NEVER !!!. It has nothing but the best from tip to tip. Nothing was left out, NOTHING !!! I will list the major things and list some prices but I can tell you the list goes on forever. It has an American Suspension Bolt on 26 kit ($1300) with 8deg in the trees and 4 deg in the neck so the trail is the same as stock. This makes the bike handle great. This DOES NOT have a cheap triple tree 12 deg rake system like a lot of others that short cut it and screw up the bikes handling.  First off, the airbrushing ($7000) was done by none other than Mick Cassidy (BAD ASS PAINT) in  Riverside Ca. that did work on the bikes for the show "Sons Of Anarchy" and the pics don't even come close to showing the true magic this guy can do with paint. It has a Grim Reaper theme with multiple colors and UNBELIEVABLE detail. It has a 26" Custom RC front wheel ($1500) with matching rotor and Performace Machine 8 piston caliper, along with ($1000) matching rear wheel. 12" Paul Yaffe ($1400) bars with all chrome controls, levers, and mirrors. Headlight ($450) is the 7" LED Daymaker with a Headwinds ($400) widows peak headlight bezel. Gauges are custom skull gauges ($700) with blue led's and lighted needles. Custom Dynamis LED front flush mount turn signals that double as running lights. Pual Yaffe custom full wrap front fender. 150 LED lights ($500) that switch to 14 different colors with remote. Bad Dad stretched fender and bags with internally mounted LED's ($3500) (see Pic). Paul yaffe stretched tank (NOT THE CHEAP EXTENSIONS). Custom Crash bar with integrated highway pegs (see pic). Arlen Ness heel toe shifter, brake, shifter linkage, front floorboards with matching passenger floorboards and matching air cleaner. Arlen Ness ignition cover with chrome switches. EVERY BOLT IS CHROME $$$ Not the cheap hot toppers !! The stereo system ($3000) took 2nd place in Milwaukee last year and is INSANE with an Alpine Bluetooth deck and 8 Hertz speakers with a JL Audio 500watt Amp. I also have 2 seats, 1 seat is a custom modified Mustang seat with driver backrest (see pic) with matching quick disconnect passenger backrest for trips and 1 lepera low profile seat that matches the paul yaffe tank profile.  NOW THE BEST PART  !!! It has a 120R with a 58mm HPI throttle body with port matched intake manifold that has been flawlessly tuned by Fuel Moto in Greenbay Wi, ($8000) total with clutch. It has a Primo Rivera Heavy Hitter Clutch and the Bike has also been geared down.   Dynoed at 128hp 129tq but with the gearing it pulls like a 150hp machine. It also has the Vance&Hines X Pipe with Fuel Moto Jackpot mufflers with the performance baffles and a V&H Power Vision Tuner. I also have the quiet baffles that go with it. I have left a TON of stuff out but if your interested then we will go through the entire bike. Like I said in the beginning, EVERYTHING ON THIS BIKE IS NOTHING LIKE YOU HAVE SEEN BEFORE  !!!  I almost forgot, I tried the Arnott and the Legend air ride systems but while they looked cool they rode like JUNK. I posted a pic of the Custom built Ohlins Remote Reservoir fully adjustable shocks ($1100)) I put on the bike and it rides like a DREAM !!!! I also installed a stabilizer True Track full front and rear system ($700) which makes it handle like a sport bike. Serious buyers call 815-713-6322. This bike cant be built for anywhere NEAR what i'm asking. The bike is nicer than $70K bikes i've seen on ebay.  WILL CONSIDER TRADE FOR 2015-2016 ROAD GLIDE ULTRA CVO PLUS CASH !!!

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
