Harley-Davidson Touring description

2012 HARLEY-DAVIDSON CLASSIC ROAD KING FLHRC

13,688 miles. It came stock with ABS brakes, 103 cu.in., 6 speed tranny, electronic cruise control, engine guard, detachable windshield, security package and large saddle bags. This bike has had the complete 10,000 mile service. This bike has always been stored indoors and covered when not being ridden. It has never been laid down and the miles on it are mostly highway miles, as I never ride it around town. I am approaching 70 years of age, and I am still only 5’3” tall. I have been riding bikes for over 50 years, but this Road King is just too big and too heavy for me. This bike is in excellent condition inside and out. It is beautiful and tastefully upgraded and can’t be any cleaner. Please see my pictures and call me with any questions. I will consider a trade for a low mileage Red Dyna Switchback that is in immaculate condition.

These are the do-dads I have recently added: Progressive 944 lowering shocks ($600), La Pera Maverick stitched GEL saddle ($650), 3 different chromed Kuyrakyn engine trim covers, front and rear “Ultra” fender gaurds, saddle bag gaurds, Kuyrakyn front fender eagle mount, Kuyrakyn “ISO” grips, custom 7/8 inch mini ape handle bars ($400), stainless steel cables, custom floorboards that are further out and naturally angled than the stock floorboards (very comfortable), large clock, and a pig tail for a trickle charger. All these do-dads have just been installed and, not counting the cost of labor, cost me over $3200.

Included with this sale is a quick release Harley passenger back rest. I also have the Harley matching large tour pak with docking kit and attached chrome luggage rack that I will sell separately at a great deal if you are interested in it and buy my bike. Please see the pics.

Harley-Davidson Racers Visiting Troops In Middle East

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

A large number of military personnel are also motorcyclists, with many dreaming of the day they can hop back on their steeds after deployment. Harley-Davidson understands this, and in cooperation with Army Special Forces Association Chapter 64, Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines are joining Summit Racing Equipment and Armed Forces Entertainment November 18-22 for Operation Appreciation, an annual visit to American troops stationed overseas. After three years of visiting American military personnel based in Europe, Operation Appreciation will travel to the Middle East to visit troops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
