Harley-Davidson Touring description

2011 Road King. 4,015 miles. Purchased new, by me, paper title in hand. Always garage kept, dry and covered. I purchased a, special order slim tour pack with matching color scheme, merlot sun glow, with factory contrasting pinstripes, quick disconnect release bracket, passenger seat and back rest. All the seating was ordered new, from The Harley Dealer, then remade with a baseball glove style textured covering by A&E upholstery in Melbourne. The tour pack and back seating is completely removable quickly, to go solo.

All rear red, stop and turn signals with the Harley Davidson running light electric module.

The driver seat is a new, remade, Police Road King seat with a genuine 1965 FLH chrome trim ring (expertly re-chromed and polished by the best plating company in Melbourne, Space Coast Plating). The effort was to seek that big Harley 1960's FLH look using modern components. The driver seat is an air ride pressurized system to ride normal, firm, or tall and firm.

Flat chrome passenger floorboard for the second rider. Original mufflers and the installed Vance and Hines Pipes are included. Taller handlebars match the taller seat, like the standard Police Road King. Spoke wheels, factory cruise control, quick release factory windshield (wind, or no wind). Electric drive throttle with automatic compression relief as a 2011 feature. 1 year old Harley Davidson brand battery. Harley Davidson brand synthetic lubricants only. Purchased new at Space Coast Harley. Shop manual, parts catalog, extra keys, all match the tour pack. Wired for battery tender brand maintainer. Full saddle bag guards.

This configuration is best for a taller person. But anyone who enjoys the straight up citizen style, police bike ride will feel the familiar position. Full saddle bag crash bar cages as seen on all Police Harley's, but on few standard Road Kings. Has never been on its side. Of course no accidents either. No engine modifications or otherwise.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.

2023 Harley-Davidson X 350 Revealed for China

Fri, 10 Mar 2023

H-D/QJ Motor connection finally bears fruit Harley-Davidson has officially revealed the X 350 for the Chinese market, a small displacement flat track-inspired roadster produced with Qianjiang Motor (QJ Motor). As of this writing, the X 350 is only confirmed for China, though a modified variant known as the X350RA will be used in Harley-Davidson Rider Academy programs in the U.S. QJ and Harley-Davidson have been working on the X 350 since 2019, though the motorcycle traces its lineage a little earlier to the TNT300 from QJ-owned Benelli.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
