Harley-Davidson Touring description
2009 Harley Davidson Road King Classic 17,000 miles. I must sell my baby and while I am her second owner, I know she has always been loved. The pictures say it all. She's dressed in deep turquoise and antique white. Has new white wall tires on new custom smooth profile rims. Hubs and rims were color matched with OEM paint then laced with stainless steel spokes. Rides on adjustable air shocks, pump included. 96 cubed inch EFI breaths thru a stage 1 air cleaner with a K&N filter and vents via a new Vance & Hines Power Duals header (eliminating the c converter) and finishes with new RC Exhaust headers which give her a pleasing loud but deep rumble. New Vance & Hines Fuelpac and new O2 sensors keep her tuned and is programmable for future upgrades. Quick release features on windshield, saddlebags and luggage bag allow her dress up for long rides or strip down for a night on the town in just minutes (see pictures). Custom touches like color matched exhaust tips, custom air cover and subtle accent lighting make her a one of a kind. $12,000 firm. Its imperative that this bike goes to a good American home, if your voting Clinton don't even bother. |

Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more. Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.
New Harley-Davidson Book Ties Together The Company’s Past
Thu, 08 May 2014Margie Siegal, former columnist for IronWorks Magazine and motorcycle enthusiast has written a book on the history of the world’s most famous motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. Entitled, Harley-Davidson: A History of the World’s Most Famous Motorcycle, the book ties together the mechanical evolution of the Harley engines, the social history of Harley and the beautiful visuals associated with Harleys in design, advertising, artful photography and collectibles. Harley-Davidson are words that evoke the open American road and the “Made in America” tradition like no others.
Most Obvious Press Release Of 2013: Biker Chicks Sexier Than Pedestrians
Tue, 31 Dec 2013In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.
