This is just one of those bikes you get excited to be around. It has only 2404 original miles and runs and drives like new. We just gave her an Oil/filter (synthetic) change so the next owner has a fresh start. The Paint appears to be in great shape as well as the Chrome. The only thing negative is there is minor pitting in the aluminum below the Chrome on the front forks and in the wheels themselves. I am pointing this out because it is hard to see in the pictures. I looked at some closeups on comparable models and see that this may simply be normal. I was going to try some "shark skin polish" on this as we are a boat dealer and this works well when we detail aluminum on the boats. Any Suggestions? Everything on the bike seems to work like it should. Tires are great and seats are excellent. Hope we find a great home for this one. I have financing available and can ship world wide! Rare Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Memorabilia Up for Auction
Tue, 24 Jun 2014More than 500 rare Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collector’s items will be hitting the auction block on June 28. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. The retired Shreffler once had plans to open a Harley-Davidson museum but has now decided to auction off his collection gathered from 48 years in the industry.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson reported 15.9% increase in motorcycle revenue despite selling 9.1% fewer motorcycles over the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s first quarter 2013 report, Harley-Davidson recorded revenues of $1.15 billion from motorcycle sales, compared to $995.9 million in the same quarter of 2012. At the same time, Harley-Davidson sold 54,254 motorcycles worldwide over the first quarter, down from 59,677 motorcycles in the same period last year.
Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
