Harley-Davidson Touring description

2008 Harley Davidson Road Glide Custom.

LOOKING TO MAKE A STATEMENT ON THE LONG ROAD TO NOWHERE IN PARTICULAR? Then it's time to coral your eyeballs and check out the sleek custom style and aerodynamic frame-mounted fairing with a super custom look.  I have taken the time to make this bike a true head turner in all crowds.  The paint is what I call burnt orange... Others have referred to it as Aztec Gold.  The graphics are simple gold with a green hue and then to top it off with some old school pin stripping.  The seat is a stock modified to fit the custom stretched tank.  The seat is wrapped in what they call Italian vinyl with stitching to match the pin stripping.  The rear fender has been stretched to balance the stretched bags with the Paul Yaffe wedged tail lights.  The frame, swing arm and every other part had been painted to match the bike.  The heads have been diamond cut and powder coated to match.  14" Paul Yaffe Monkey bars painted to match with all chrome controls.  Then she is sitting on a set of custom rims 21" in the front and matching 18" on the back wrapped with Metzzler tires.   The exhaust syatem is a Bassani with Reinhardt mufflers and the slasher tips.  The motor has a slight mod of the 103 cam kit (sorry cant remember the brand) and six speed transmission.  I did remove the abs system but it has not effected the ride or performance of this beauty.  Included is 2 matching modular full face helmets: 2 matching dome cap helmets: matching detachable back rest and matching detachable tour pack.

Now this is a Californa Salvaged title bike that has been registered and met all the requirements by the State of California. Then we go in to the reasons is was salvaged.  If you know anything about Harley Davidsons.... You know that if you drop the bike the will total it for the most stupid reasons.... For this one the faring, front fender and crash bar was damaged.  Then ther were scratched on the bags and other parts, but the bike ran like a champ.  No damage to the frame of motor.

So with all that said I have invested more that 60k and asking $35,000.  You can contact me and make me a reasonable offer and see what happens.  I don't need to sale her but I'm tired of the bike show scene and just want to buy me a good daily rider.

I'm not a salesman and have done my best to describe her the best way I could.... I'm sure I've understated her true beauty but I will let the pictures speak for me.

If you are the lucky buyer of the Beuaty you will be responsible for delivery/Shipping,  I will be happy to store this beauty until your shipping arrangements have been made.   I will require a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of the auctions ending and full payment within 7 days of the auction ending.  So make sure you ask the questions before you buy.

I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime (she is up for sale locally)

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

The TwinTrax Is A Machine Straight From Mad Max

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Just look at this motorcycle for a moment. A creation of the German Motorcycle Authority, the TwinTrax is nearly 107 inches long, weighs 882 pounds, and took owner/builder Christoph Madaus 12 years to complete. Oh, and don’t forget the two Harley-Davidson V-Twins powering this thing.

AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike Riders Gearing Up For Road America

Thu, 29 May 2014

The AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike class makes its much-anticipated return to Road America this weekend. The four-mile Wisconsin circuit is a particularly exciting place to watch the middleweight bikes because its long straights and braking zones make passing and lead changes commonplace. More than just a test of man and machine, the races often develop into a strategic battle leading up to the all-important last lap and run up the hill to the checkered flag.
