Harley-Davidson Touring description

This bike is retired from the Brevard County, Florida Sheriff's office. I purchased it a few years ago, flew down from Kansas and road it home.

I have made many upgrades including the fairing, stereo, trunk, Corbin seat, lots of engine chrome, white walls, paint, etc.

The big 103 stroker engine runs great with a new battery this past season. The rear tire will need replaced in the near future. The six-speed tranny is a highway rider's dream.

This is no show bike. It was laid down at some point while in the sheriff's service. You can see the scrape on the right floorboard and the right muffler. The engine guard was replaced. The bike also suffered damage when I was struck lightly at intersection while sitting at a stop sign. Those damaged parts were replaced, but a small dent still remains in the left side of the tank.

The paint has been done twice. First it was Optimus Prime (grandkids loved it). Then it was the military colors you now see (more my style). The paint is laquer with matte clear coating. Fual spills will mark it.

It's a rider folks. No show trophies are in your future as it sits now, but it is a solid running Harley for the rider who appreciates a cool bike and a square deal.

It books at $8300 average retail without the many upgrades and accessories (I'll take the loss on those). $7800 is fair for it's condition even in stock configuration. Like I said, I eat the loss for well over a grand in add-ons.

No deliveries.

Why am I selling? My riding interests have changed with age.

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
