For sale 2005 Electra Glide Classic with 7,600 miles. Black in color with a lot of chrome on the engine. I am the second owner. The first owner put 600 miles on it and I have put the rest. The bike is well maintained and garage kept with some after market parts. Includes all braided cables, handlebars, windshield, back rest for driver and passenger, 1 in. lowering kit on the suspension, phantom mufflers, big sucker air cleaner, Commander tuner, and an LED headlight with 2 spotlights. I have the owners manual and two shop manuals. I have all original parts and after market boxes and receipts. Buyer is responsible for pick-up.

Harley-Davidson Closing Australian Cast Wheel Subsidiary

Harley-Davidson is closing its cast wheel and hub producing subsidiary New Castalloy, deciding to outsource production to third-party suppliers. Based in Adelaide, Australia, New Castalloy produces about 1,450 wheels and 500 wheel hubs per day for Harley-Davidson. That work will be transferred to outside suppliers by the middle of 2013.

Harley-Davidson opened its first dealer in China in 2005, they now have four dealers operating nationwide (Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao and Hong Kong). Harley reported that sales had doubled in China last year and plans to open four new dealerships this year (Wenzhou, Xiamen, Dalian and Chengdu). According to Rodney Copes, Harley’s Vice President of international sales, China is the fastest growing market for the American motorcycle manufacture.

Harley-Davidson Donated $4.5 Million to Various Causes in 2012

Harley-Davidson donated more than $4.5 million to support various charitable groups in 2012. The donations, which include both grants and merchandise, went to several organizations, including those around Harley-Davidson‘s bases in Milwaukee, Wis., York, Pa., and Kansas City, Mo., but also to groups across the nation. The Milwaukee chapter of Habitat for Humanity received a $200,000 grant for its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, helping fund housing projects in the Washington Park community.
