Harley-Davidson Touring description

Up for sale is my beloved 2004 FLTRI Road Glide.  It has only 17K miles on it and has always been garaged.  Lots of custom features: Legend Air Glide suspension, custom Arlen Ness rear fender and bags, custom 21 inch chrome front wheel, custom cables, custom LA Choppers pipes (sound awesome), custom Danny Gray seat, stage one Screaming Eagle high flow air filter, all custom HD pedals, chrome forks, new battery, new tires, new speakers.  I'm sure I'm forgetting something since I've put so much money into it, over $4500 custom stuff.  Couple of small aesthetic details: original owner left in garage in hot summer and faring separated about 1/4 inch, hence the gap on both sides as shown in pic. Also, very small scratch on bottom front corner of right bag that has been touched up, and small chip on low right side of front fender that has also been touched up, both with matching HD paint.  You cannot note either unless you look for them.  15,000 mile maintenance done in May 2016.  She runs like a Swiss watch.  I absolutely love this bike but rarely have time to ride.  Will throw in a HD medium jacket as shown in pic, Voss and HD helmets, HD battery charger (great for winter) and large wind shield.  Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours.

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.

Zero Motorcycles Promotes Askenazi to CTO

Tue, 24 May 2011

Zero Motorcycles has promoted Abe Askenazi to the position of chief technology officer. A former Buell engineer, Askenazi joined Zero Motorcycles in 2010 as vice president of engineering where he played a vital role in developing the company’s 2011 line-up, overhauling over 80% of Zero’s existing electric motorcycle line-up while adding the Zero XU and street legal versions of the Zero X and Zero MX in just 10 months on the job. “Abe’s ability to effectively execute on an aggressive product development plan, select the best new technologies and rally his team is remarkable.

Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
