1987 Harley Davidson "Sportglide" started life as a Tourglide classic but was converted. 100% reliable road ready transportation. Engine was completely overhauled at 100,000 miles with new ultima cases, Harley OEM .020 pistons and rings, .650 Screaming Eagle valve springs and adjustable pushrods, Revtec roller rocker arms and lifters, harley "L" grind cam, steel breather, new clutch and primary sprocket, tensioner and chain, upgraded 32 amp charging system, Mikuni HSR42 carb, reinhardt 2 into 1 exhaust, Metzler front and rear tire with approximately 3000 miles on them (very good), removable windshield. The left saddlebag lid is damaged. I have owned it since 2007 and I am selling it to fund a Drag racing project. Call me at 252-363-1324 and I will be happy to answer any questions. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
