Purchased from the original owner in 1988 and has always been in a heated garage. The bike is not perfect and does show the age of a 32 year old bike in the paint and chrome here and there but is still very nice. It has been a rider not a show queen. The bike when bought had 76 aux lights on it and many were removed but I kept what was removed and it all goes with the bike. The tour-pak was also removed along with the under the handlebar AM/FM 8 track stereo and speaker holder all of which match the paint on the bike. I also have the original mufflers and anything that was removed when it was upgraded if it was still usable and specific to the bike. I have all the receipts for everything that was bought for the bike by me and replaced. 04/03 the highway bar/engine guard was replaced due to me going off the side of the road and a rock was sticking out of the hillside and caught the highway bar and bent it back and there were these extra lights on the inside of the highway bar that had chrome stanchions on top of the lights that when it got bent back it tagged the gas tank and this is where the dent in the right side gas tank came from as well as the dent in the top of the fender when the front compressed from the sudden stop and also struck extra lights that were on bottom of the headlight bar causing a dent in it as well.  Pictures of this have been provided minus the lights and extra chrome that the original owner had put on the bike and was still there when this happened. Also once while riding I did not get the right rear saddle bag cover properly fastened and it came off while riding and only produced a minor scratch to the lid in the paint but did scratch up the chrome on the top which was replace with ones from the top of the tour pack which I had removed and never planed to put back on. I did keep the damaged chrome and it could be replaced if the next owner wished to place the tour pack back on the bike. I also made the back rest removable and it easily comes off and is replaced now with two wrenches and one bolt in a matter of minutes and does not wobble or move when placed back on the bike. The bike sat un-ridden from 1988 till 2000 with the electrical system and speedometer removed but nothing else wrong otherwise and was put back on the road in 2001 and has had something upgraded or replaced every year since. Total mileage of the bike is approx. 15000 miles but is not the exact due to having the speedometer replaced a couple of times due to malfunctions with aftermarket ones. A list of some of the things that have been done are the electrical was redone and upgraded with two relays that control the aux marker lights which have been converted over to LED’s as well as the turn signals with power being taken off the main switch and ran through two relays. The main switch was also replaced with a heavy duty electronic one 09/05. Progressive adj rear shocks were installed 09/03. The Primary was redone and clutch replaced in 10/05 with the clutch being upgraded to a Kevlar five finger one. The battery was replaced with a Gel Harley Battery that was smaller and I made aluminum brackets to hold it in the original spot with all being bolted in and this is reversible if you wanted to switch it all back. I also added an extra ground cable that goes directly to the starter and fab up some copper bars to clean up the wiring around the battery so there would be room to add other electrical things if needed. The ignition system was switched over from duel fire to single fire 05/06 using a Crane HI-4 electronic ignition controller and Coil with a dyno run at that time that put it at 53.8hp and 65.4 max torque. 07/10 the top end was redone with the heads bored to .010 with new pistons and rings as well as valves, guides, gaskets and seals. Flex oil lines were also installed to avoid the O-ring leaks from the old solid lines. Also a new S&S Super E carb along with Paughco True Exhaust. 05/11 New Dunlop K941 Elite RWL tires were installed and have less than 500 miles on them. The last thing that was replaced has been the voltage regulator and a new Gel Battery 08/12. There are no leaks and this is a nice rider. The brake system and hoses were also replaced and rebuilt over the years as well and work great. There are no hidden problems with this bike and I believe in full disclosure so if I haven’t included something you need to know just ask. Motivation for selling is I bought a newer Bike. I have extra pictures and a video of the bike running if the link to it dose not show up and I can email you the links to see them. I can also take pictures of anything upon request and send them to you. The bike is fully Licensed and Insured at this time and has just had a current WV inspection.  Scott 304-629-8361

2015 Harley-Davidson CVO and Twin-Cooled Models Certified by CARB

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

The California Air Resource Board has released new certification documents revealing most of Harley-Davidson‘s 2015 line-up. The CARB executive orders, required before a motorcycle is allowed to be sold in California, reveal new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide, two low versions of the Electra Glide and more models receiving Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooled engine. Introduced last year on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and Tri-Glide Ultra trike, the Twin-Cooled engine uses liquid-cooling for the cylinder heads, reducing emissions.
