This is a NO RESERVE auction This is a nice example of a good condition custom build 1340 shovelhead including the original pre 70's frame w/ pogo style solo seat and custom paint and body work lots of custom and aftermarket parts(as listed below) Original pre 70's frame w/ 1979 80" shovelhead motor. Motor is kick and electric start. NEW/ AFTERMARKET PARTS
Very nice example of a classic/ custom flh setup. Isn't perfect, but close. does have a couple of paint chips- on the rear/ front fenders(see pics). engine/ trim detailing has some scratches and chips in finish from age. Starter solenoid is weak and recommend replaced(temperamental and works when it wants).I typically kick start it(3-4 kicks) Brakes are in excellent condition.Tires are in good condition w/ 50% tread left. Engine doesnt smoke and has good compression w/ no oil blow bye on the rings Bike has a clean/ clear Numbers matching Michigan title Buyer responsible for all shipping costs.Bike is located in Durand,MI zip 48429.Local pickup offered. Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
Afghan Heroes tribute Harley MT350
Tue, 29 Nov 2011The above Harley-Davidson MT350 has been created in honor of the UK soldiers killed over the last ten years in the Afghanistan conflict. This particular MT350 was previously used by British forces in Afghanistan and will now act as a memorial for the charity Afghan Heroes. The tribute was created by Paul Ferguson and Martin Turner, and now features the name of each fallen serviceman or woman, accompanied by their age and the date they were killed in action.
