Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 CUSTOM, Bought brand new in 11/2012, hand picked factory customized parts. - original owner - alarm system with key fobs on both keys - digital speedometer - factory customized - black matte - antique brown leather solo saddle - black engine - black pipes (screaming eagle exhuast covers) - spoke wheels - has had it's 1000 mile service and runs better than ever. - all paper work/service/purchase agreement in order and ready to hand over to next owner. Selling my Harley Sportster XL1200CP as it is not a good match for what I'm looking for in a motorcycle. This is a gorgeous bike, but I've found I'm a sport bike kind of guy and not a cruiser guy. This beauty needs a home which can love it more than I can. It is my first motorcycle, but wasn't a good match for my personal taste. Minor paint scratches on the lower/front of the low hanging tail pipe, slow partial drop while coming in fast and slowing on gravel with my foot grip slipping. $9,500.00

1 of 11Next Last   Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
