Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Trapp Cadillac Chevrolet is offering for your bidding consideration this 2012 Harley-Davidson 1200 Sportster motorcycle. This is a recent trade in. It is barely broken in with only 2844 miles. Of course, it has the Fat Bob style front end as you can see in the pictures. It is a very good running bike. Iy looks great as well. The only real flaw I found was a couple scratches on the rear of the tank where it meets the seat. I have included a pic of the area. Other than that, it is one sharp looking and running bike. It has a slip-on exhaust system, so it sounds like a Harley should as well. I personally rode the bike and it rides perfectly. I am supplying lots of pics so you can judge for yourself the excellent condition. It does have a clear Louisiana title. I is NOT a salvage or reconstructed title. The reserve has been set extremely low. This bike will sell. Now is your chance to get one heck of a deal on a nice motorcycle. If you have any questions about the bike, please call toll free at 1-888-757-2339. Please ask to speak to Rodney Reese. He will be handling the sale of this bike for the dealership..

The high bidder at or above the reserve agrees to submit a $500.00 deposit via Paypal no longer than 24 hours after the close of auction. The balance will become due no later than 7 days after the close of auction.

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
