2011 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® Forty-Eight™ XL1200X is one of the garage custom motorcycles in the Harley Dark Custom™ line. This bike cruises down the road with a 1,200 cc Evolution® engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson soul. The Forty-Eight also has an authentic peanut tank which first appeared on Harley-Davidson back in 1948 (its name origin) and has been a defining Sportster feature ever since. The front end of the bike looks beefy with its fat MT90 tire. This Harley Sportster Forty-Eight is enhanced with the lowered front and rear suspension. Add a low seat height, and you have a serious looking motorcycle with an approachable riding stance. Take some time and look over the features of this Harley Dark Custom, including the unique under-mount motorcycle mirrors. This bike has a very low 6150 miles and is in great shape and needs nothing. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts effortlessly, The tires are in good shape and overall quality is excellent. This bike has a few light rust spots on some of the chrome accessories but once again overall is in great shape. Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

In addition to the flat black and natural aluminum finishes, the Sportster Stealth SuperCoils are offered in flat black with polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads.
